Hosted by Amaury Sport Organisation and Welcome to Yorkshire, and supported by British Cycling, the Tour de Yorkshire is a 2.1 UCI Europe Tour international cycle race, attracting some of the biggest teams from around the world as they take on hills, dales, moors, towns, cities and villages across Yorkshire.

The North York Moors is a fantastic location for cycling, whether you're a family cyclist or a world-class mountain biker.

If you're looking for inspiration, check out our downloadable cycling routes, right across the North York Moors and Howardian Hills.

The variety of this area is superb; moorland heather tracks, steep sided valleys, twisting woodland singletrack. Yep, the Moors has it all. Easily accessible from the A1, one of England's main road routes, it has a historical place in the British mtb scene.
